#BlueSky’s
I am absolutely taking advantage of BlueSky’s 100 mb size limit on GIFs…

I got a tour of Bluesky's server room today

bluesky’s got the juice
HELL YEAH!!

Look at what we did TOGETHER! Comic-con has quietly changed their language and will NOT allow GenAi imagery in their art show!

And this happened because you all wrote letters, and shared your concerns! Speaking up works EVERY time!

So congrats friends! We did this together!!!
🙌🙌💖💖💖
San Diego Comic-Con will no longer allow AI 'art' to be displayed at their event

"Material created by AI either partially or wholly, is not allowed in the art show"

This follows backlash from artists after SDCC initially indicated AI-generated work would be permitted

Can we talk about how the time picker for BlueSky's new live feature resembles a YandereDev if statement?

Like what happened here?

At least Bluesky's marketing guy isn't asleep at the wheel.

When I don't get thousands of likes on my posts I demand a discourse on bluesky's failings as is natural

Bluesky’s block is much more effective than other platforms’. It nukes even the thread the troll is in from orbit
To the new Blueskyers on here. We keep the place decent by blocking trolls and hatemongers immediately instead of engaging. Please don't give them any air.

Bluesky's the place you go to call Hamas "terrorists" for resisting genocide and then turn around and tell people not to use the word "moron."

I love the difference between Bluesky’s Cope Europe and the Actual Europe that exists in the real world
The World Economic Forum is about to convene in Davos Switzerland. The theme for this year is “A Spirit of Dialogue,” and they’re rolling out the red carpet for their star speaker, Trump. The hypocrisy, cowardice, complicity, normalization — it just goes on and on.

As Davos Convenes, Deference to Trump Has Replaced Everything

blacksky's a first ATproto system with infrastructure autonomous from bluesky's proof-of-concept (this site), thus making big steps towards making ATproto decentralized in practice and not just theory. the firehose is now able to collect and make posts of users banned from bsky's appview viewable:
Bluesky runs an appview.
Blacksky runs an appview.

A complete appview is a several terabytes sized database of the >18 billion follows, likes and posts of all bsky users, ever and forever.

To run a different appview is to make a fork in bsky’s timeline.

One has new posts from Łink.
One doesn’t.

you may not be able to [this text has been removed for violating bluesky’s terms and conditions] but you can block them on here
Immigration and Customs Enforcement just joined Bluesky.

X is completely down, now is BlueSky's chance to shine.

So, we're replacing one letter in song titles today?

Found a guy namesearching for one of the architects of family separation (Sarah Isgur) and trying to defend her with whatever this is, Bluesky's got it, baby.
Implementation doesn't mean what you think it means...

i am bluesky’s favorite lil sweetheart
January 16, 2026 at 10:20 PM
instead of useless bullshit bluesky's team should work on a version of Tumblr's "reblog graph" feature so when I get a bad reply I know which of my followers to kill

Seems someone is taking the “ATproto is federated” promise seriously and running an instance other than Bluesky: “Blacksky” (so as to limit Bluesky's power of censorship). This sounds like great news, so let's watch how it unfolds.

People being afraid to disclose generative slop production habits is probably Bluesky's best quality.
please tell me this labeler is trolling lmao

Please help Ahmad's family survive Israel's genocide in Gaza, which has left them homeless & starving in winter under renewed bombing. His mother urgently needs treatment for retinal disease, & is losing her eyesight. Bluesky's deletions have driven him to despair:

never logged on to bluesky’s app with this account, just created it on northsky’s website and then logged in on @anisota.net

It’s consistently been one of the Bluesky’s biggest problems because one of its strengths is the presence of a ton of domain experts who are willing to explain things and one of its biggest weaknesses is the presence of a horde of reply guys who insist on interpreting those explanations as support
this site seems to genuinely have an issue with viewing explanation as a form of endorsement
Me outlining the conclusions the tribunal reached is not me endorsing them. Especially when I emphasised repeatedly that this is a first instance decision and non-binding. I'm really not sure what more I can do to make my position on this clear - it has quite literally been my entire life since FWS.

SUGGESTION FOR BLUESKY'S DEV TEAM: y'all should do locked accounts so that you, yes you the devs, have a place to complain about how fucking annoying users are without the users being able to QRT dunk you.

it's lifesaving. you need it. trust me on this one. i'm looking out for you here

@boston.gov and @mayorwu.boston.gov have been beta-testing Bluesky's Live Now feature using YouTube, and it's looking great so far!
it's a very nice feature! appreciate @bsky.app helping send people to @citytv.boston.gov livestreams. we have used this a few times since October, helpful for sending people to official, existing livestream infrastructure.

should I make the defaults for witchsky enable square avatars and buttons, to make it clearly differ from bluesky's ui?

Finding this very interesting: bsky.app/profile/dana...

Makes me wonder if we can make a Puzzmo's daily puzzles as something we put on @puzzmo.com Bluesky's registry. Then for folks who opt in, place their puzzle progress/results in their user's registry on puzzle completions.

damn, Bluesky’s never winning a Stanley Cup now
Bluesky will soon have 42 million users, which means we're slightly larger than Canada
