There are no shutdown-related requirement for SNAP renewal. But it would predictably result in low-income families going hungry.

30 yr finance Dino here. the short answer is NO, they do not. Every loan application the customer has to attest and prove they are US citizens. If not, they have to provide a green card or valid work visa and company must confirm employment for next 3 yrs to get a loan. JD is completely lying.

I had many interviews in hotel rooms and thought nothing of it. I was so focused on the interaction that I didn’t think of it. I can have tunnel vision sometimes, as people who know me will attest.
I can attest that a lot of training to fight is first and foremost about *being aware that a fight could happen and having your guard up*, and that level of hypervigilance, when maintained for long enough, will fuck you up in some really uncomfortable ways
I think a lot of people grossly overestimate their own ability to respond to physical violence, especially when the other individual intends serious physical harm.
I was accosted and beaten as a younger man and I can tell you that by the time I understood what was happening the fight was over.
