BREAKING: Our client Mario Guevara, an Emmy-winning journalist detained by ICE in retaliation for livestreaming law enforcement activity, will be deported tomorrow to El Salvador.

Mario and his family are being punished for his reporting. This cruelty is meant to stifle our free press.

This has dire consequences for *all* websites. All someone needs to do is decide that a site has "pornography" on it and that site is now burdened with the infrastructure to age verify. Same sex couple in an RPG story? That site is offering adult content.
Believe it. That's where this is going.

In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court held that age verification for explicit sites is constitutional. In a dissent, Justice Elena Kagan warned it burdens adults and ignores First Amendment precedent. www.wired.com/story/us-sup...

thinking more and more that maybe the computer should have remained as a big beige box that had to be purposefully connected to the internet via fucked up squealing rather than some 24/7 presence that infiltrates everything we see, hear and create with plagiarised hallucinations

WOW. The Trump admin said they will review social media and deny immigration benefits to people saying antisemitic claims. They're even trying to deport people with green cards on alleged claims of antisemitism.

Anyway, here's a tweet from an Afrikaner they flew here on Monday.

Inside you are two wolves:
One just wrote a really cheesy and borderline sentimental course eval.
The other is plagued by anxiety that the prof will think you're weird.
Actually, both are plagued by anxiety, but that's beside the point.

Make lungs black again, I guess
1 in 4 coal miners in Appalachia get black lung disease, caused by exposure to silica dust in mines.

Once again, Trump is throwing workers under the bus for the sake of corporate profits.

I know, ~professionalism~ blah blah blah, but sometimes I wish university admins would just send an email that says "this is fucked up" instead of corporate speak that feels detached from students' incredibly real anxieties.

What I think was *really* beneficial about Hands Off is that people need to see (in real life) that they’re not alone.

In-person events and marches can really fill up people’s fighting tanks, so to speak. And this regime has handed us a really really long, tedious, and difficult fight.

People who actually know a goddamn thing about how social movements work understand that protests can be massively useful not as ends in themselves but as *starting points* for people who are newly mobilized

They are huge opportunities. They matter
Less complaining about how big rallies don't do anything, more brainstorming about how to activate their attendees to get involved with targeted campaigns, direct action, and mutual aid.

1. Stop assuming people announce all their activism on social media.

2. Stop demanding people announce all their activism on social media.

3. Stop deriding people for not announcing all their activism on social media.

4. Dunking on people on social media isn't activism and isn't praxis.
