i think there’s so much room to grow for these politics of emphasizing the importance of community and collective action over individual greed. and i don’t think that has to be limited by any ideology. it just has to be real, like this
Restaurants aren’t just where you grab a meal. They’re where stories are shared, friendships are built, and communities take shape.

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

Anyway a great way to radicalize people is for them to realize that you just abandoned their chance at being able to access and afford health care because you didn’t like waiting in line at the airport.

I truly do not understand how Senate Dems’ takeaway from millions marching in the streets during No Kings and delivering Democratic victories up and down the ballot last week is: “We must surrender to the fascists.”

This is about OpenAI, but there may not be a more perfect summation of American capitalism.
Its ability to function owes a debt to all the (exploited) labor fed into it.

For the research side of things, I feel like this is inextricable from the plagiarism question. Its ability to function as a search engine owes a debt to all the authors whose material has been fed into it.

🚨🚨🚨 The jury has reached a verdict. Sean Dunn, aka the DC Sandwich Guy, has been found NOT GUILTY of assault.

Many (most?) Americans hate social media, but feel they need it to keep abreast of things at their kids school, get news, see grandkid pics, etc.
Democrats can do numbers by coming out hard against social media. Regulate them, fine them, break them up, criminally charge leadership. Fuck them up.
