New 2025 movie collection arrangement.

I previously had 3D, 4K, and boutique separated into their own sections, but cuz of the awkward nature of the box set shelving I just grouped them all together.
There's an excellent moment in Adam Wingard's BLAIR WITCH where two characters take a moment from the terror to calm each other down, face to face. You think it's gonna be a misdirect for a jumpscare, but it's completely sincere and my favorite thing about that movie.
This is a favorite question to ask. Favorite little moment of kindness in a movie? I'm thinking of Tim Blake Nelson leaving money on the sill after they steal a pie in O Brother.

One of my least favorite replies is "never heard of it" and its many variations. What purpose does it serve, besides announcing a gap in your knowledge while weirdly wrapping it in arrogance?

I have now seen all five ANACONDA movies and have come to the following conclusions:

- The best scene in film history involving an anaconda remains JACKASS: NUMBER TWO

- The best of the franchise remains the one with the least famous people, which the new one misunderstands to a devastating degree

Possible spoilers for today's Cinematrix, but the "rarest answers" for the bottom-two spaces of the first column are total bullshit.

I watched AVATAR: FIRE AND ASH in Portugal today and I just want everyone to know that the entire movie was subtitled in English in Papyrus.

The entire movie.

I can't understand how "writing is my dream job" and "ugh, can't the robot do it?" coexist comfortably inside the same skull, but a lot of people live in cognitive dissonance.

I don't understand movie release dates anymore.

A couple weeks ago I got to see SCARLET in IMAX at a regular AMC -- a movie that allegedly comes out out in February.

Tonight, I have tickets to something labeled "Alpha (dir. Ducournau)" at another regular AMC -- a movie coming out in March.

What.

Paramount already has Landman. They can’t buy WB and get Aquaman too. That’s clearly unconstitutional.

All for the mission behind Letterboxd's new VOD platform, but it was true four years ago and it's still true today...

Unless you wanna gather the whole family together for the latest Chilean arthouse drama, $19.99 for a VOD rental suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks.
