I think one chapter of my life is ending. I’m trying to be thankful for the good things in that chapter. And there were some. But right now it is very hard not to feel like a failure. But I did make some exceptional roasted butternut squash today so I guess I have that.

In the early 2000s, I tried to read Harry Potter & y’all it was so mid. I was totally snobby about it. I probably came across as a jerk. Maybe in hindsight I was on to something regarding HP more people would acknowledge now, but these days I try to zip my lips and let people like what they like.

I have no idea if this was the initial plan (I actually don’t think so based on Trumps behavior the last few weeks) but no doubt this is what they are going to try to orchestrate now.

Juggling personal calamity with the whatever it is that’s going on in the USA currently — I wish I could just zone out. But I have a kid so I keep trying to put one foot in front of the other and make it work. I worry one day that won’t be enough.
