As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

This, I had genuinely thought more people knew about the 'the more power you get the shittier your emails' rule.
Always assumed it was half power play and half everyone has to answer them no matter what so why make any effort.
This is, in my experience, how nearly all rich people and CEOs/EDs email. It’s not that they’re illiterate, it’s that they cannot be bothered to take the time for grammar or punctuation when it’s just casual correspondence.
Holding all pedophilia & trafficking horrors temporarily in abeyance— what always scandalizes me the most is finding out that the rich& powerful are functional illiterates with no grasp of spelling, punctuation or grammar.

Like, it GENUINELY offends me. Mark Cuban's posts are C- student posts, too

I'm a SNAP recipient... for the last month I was tightening my belt, doing my best to eat cheaper and eating less so I'd have a little left over to help get me through when payments were cut. It was all for nothing. Fuck the dems who supported this.
I received this email about Democrats caving to end the shutdown from one of the SNAP recipients I spoke to:

Last night, the National Guard chased children who were out enjoying Halloween in Navy Yard.

There is no valid reason for armed soldiers to terrorize children like this. End Trump’s occupation of DC. National Guard out NOW.

NEW — I'm suing DC Metro Police for the full body cam footage from the DOGE raid on the US Institute of Peace back in March.

The public deserves to know why MPD chose to sell out the people they’re tasked with protecting in order to bend to Trump's will. I'm repped pro bono by @rcfp.org.

++ people in DC. Still. It’s still happening here I had feds in the alley behind my house 3 days ago. 7 people (that I know of) have been taken from my block alone.
It’s been said but it bears repeating: in addition to the people being abducted, all Chicagoans are being psychologically terrorized. Seeing feds driving/walking around and videos of violent attacks in places you know and love will fuck you up. Get ready, it’s coming to all of America soon.

The @washingtonpost.com's Emma Uber & @teoarmus.bsky.social caught @mayorbowser.dc.gov in a bald-faced lie. On Tuesday, she said "ICE is not patrolling with MPD." Confronted that day with video of ICE patrolling with MPD and abducting people handed to them by MPD, she was forced to change her tune.

There was a noticeable difference between “feds are in town” and “feds are in town and now being paired up with MPD units.”

They went from bumbling around on the Mall to surgical strikes in migrant neighborhoods & targeting key commuter roads for working class neighborhoods at rush hour.
this article shows how critical local partnerships are for ICE to hit their numbers, which is why you should keep the pressure on your local city governments to refuse cooperation with them
ICE had made only 85 arrests in Washington from Jan. 20 through the end of July. But from early August until mid-September, ICE made around 1,200 arrests, according to officials with knowledge of the data.

We detail how that happened:

Trump posted a video this morning blaming a shutdown on trans people and immigrants.
