I haven't seen a lot of talk about Great Villainess: Strategy of Lily, but I've been having a great time with it. Much of that comes from its 10/10 protagonist Scarlet, who is basically an anime version of Julie d'Aubigny, swashbuckling, bisexuality and all. And it's a strategy game! A good one too.

It’s not the most overt worst thing about these comments but implicit in how Shipman answers this question is that the only thing of value taking place on a university campus is physical sciences, which is revealing in and of itself.
Acting Columbia President Claire Shipman on the settlement with the Trump administration: "The stakes were high for us ... we have to get that funding back on track."

i think that democrats should be preparing for the next time they win power but honestly, calling it "project 2029" speaks to a lack of imagination with regard to the task at hand.

I’m as tired of saying it as you are of hearing it, but this is unambiguously Nazi shit
The White House has ordered the US Dept. of Justice to prioritize denaturalization: voiding the citizenship of US citizens.

Who will it denaturalize? "Any" case that it "determines to be sufficiently important".

Point 10 leaves the criteria opaque and arbitrary.

New Yorkers deserve a Mayor they can see, hear, even yell at. The city is in the streets.

As a Lakers fan, I'm glad that we now have an owner with much, much deeper pockets available, but I'm also worried about some of the political stances- or rather, lack of them- that the Dodgers have taken while under the same ownership group. I hope that the presence of LeBron and the marginally

Cannot stress enough that the protest in DTLA was completely nonviolent until the local police departments showed up

Been in contact with multiple indies currently on the ground who confirmed this. Cops pushed, then started firing riot munitions indiscriminately
@melbuer.bsky.social posting for Sean as the situation has deteriorated rapidly. Lines of mounted police surged the crowd and began firing riot munitions directly into people. One person appeared to be trampled by the horses, another detained. Multiple videos incoming

If any people outside the U.S. still feel compelled to criticize Americans for not waking up fast enough (stop), we're fighting multiple fronts here, one of which is against the very media institution that is *supposed* to be on the side of truth and the people.
No worries, guys, they moved coverage of 5 million people marching in every American city down even further to make room for the president's birthday parade that nobody went to.

if you've never been to LA: however big you think it is, it's bigger. and it is not politically homogenous at all
Hi non-residents! This is actually causing some confusion nationally.

Here’s the deal: the city of Los Angeles has hundreds of neighborhoods. (Hundreds, and the number is debatable). Ex.: Boyle Heights, Skid Row

It resides within LA County, which has 88 cities. (Paramount, etc.)

what people seem to believe is that there is a large number of criminal, layabout immigrants who can be easily found and deported. they support doing so snd are dismayed by the deportation of otherwise law abiding people. the problem is that the criminal group is imaginary!
Wow. New CBS poll finds majority (55%) supports the *general goal* of deportations, but a bigger majority (56%) dislikes how Trump is carrying them out. And 63% want due process.

Again, we need a better discourse around public opinion on immigration, as I've argued:

Funny how I was able to drive out to Jack in the Box today & there were no horrific violent insurrectionists or an invasion by illegal aliens or any of that shit. Literally the only thing happening is that there are pockets where people are quietly marching & then ICE & police show up & hurt people.
