sex is not a foul taint upon a relationship that erodes any preexisting emotional depth. "I hate when fans think these men just want to fuck," is not only lame because it wouldn't matter if that were true, but because it's actually very rare that something is "just" fucking. even in nsa-ships.

Fatphobia goes hand in hand with transphobia and is rampant even in otherwise progressive spaces because it makes people feel a sense of control to police their own and other people's bodies. It is social poison and we will never eliminate transphobia without eliminating anti-fatness.

Bodily autonomy is the ultimate principle here and if we’re gonna make it stick we need to do away with the deep-seated notion that certain kinds of bodies are bad and undesirable to the point of being other people’s personal business and indeed a social problem
I properly discovered power metal recently and I love how many bands have overarching narratives that basically amount to “we are holding metal church and this is our sermon” or “we are warriors who have been called to use metal to defeat the Spider Regent who has captured the stars”

This is at least the fourth story I've seen of an author having to exchange multiple emails (over 20) with this publisher to get the contract language to not be rights grabby and it's one of three where the writer walked away.

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.
