Not just another pretty mathemagician with a PhD in linguistics, I also make sourdough. No, you can't see it. Understatedly biconic. Trans rights are human rights.

I'm pleased to announce that I accept Chuck Schumer's resignation. He hasn't offered it, but I accept it nonetheless.

"Yes, regime change!"

"I'm not happy with Israel or Iran!"

small point on the insane, racist diatribe trump just posted but this is not how cognitive tests work.

Does Israel really not see that Trump doesn't "support" them, so much as he thinks truly, genuinely believes he owns them like a waterfront resort? His outrage here is actually real, he truly cannot believe that a man he thinks he employs would cross him.

Schumer works for Israel and Wall Street. He probably wants this. Schumer is the only Senate Democrat to vote for the Iraq War. Time for a vote of no confidence in Dem leadership.

You and the other Senate Dems need to do a hell of a lot more than write letters and call for investigations.

Start with blocking every motion, every vote. No to cloture on everything. No appointments. Nothing.

Shut it down.

If y’all don’t think JD Vance purposely said something racist about Senator Padilla…I’m going to remind you that Vance served with Padilla in the Senate before he was VP.

He called him Jose because he’s a racist asshole.

The NYT is aghast that trans people haven't elected to just lay down and die after their editors put so much money and time into trans eradication.

The decision in Skrmetti lets politicians create their own evidence to justify banning necessary healthcare.

It's bad, writes @evanurquhart.bsky.social. Not just for trans people, but for anyone whose healthcare is or could potentially be politically contested.

Court’s Ruling in Skrmetti Threatens All Care That’s Politically Contested — Assigned
An anti-trans, anti-science decision relies on a history of discrimination against women, and opens the door to challenges on care like vaccines.

When you call your senators, tell them the part that strips trans people of gender affirming care in the BBB is section 71117.
They can only pretend they don't know for so long. Call and point section 71117 out to them.
Show your senators YOU give a shit about trans people.
Hmmm... seems bad that Senate Dems are pretending not to know anything about this specific provision in the bill when asked by @ericmgarcia.bsky.social... Seems like coordinated faux ignorance.

The claims that McIver, Padilla, and Lander were committing assault should make you question every other time LEOs claim assault or resisting arrest, if you weren’t already.

This kind of weird way of thinking about time reminds me of in Hitchhikers Guide where they talk about how everyone remembers a time before time travel, but once time travel was invented it was suddenly in every time, and no one knows when it was invented lol
They are literally attempting to re-write history.

"You may have had rights in the past, but now we are changing it so you never did"
"Trans people who feel they’ve lost rights should ‘distinguish between rights in law and preference for things to be a certain way’"

Love how "trans people can't distinguish their desires from reality" has spilled over into legal discourse now

Cassidy is also a monster who has been targeting other kinds of healthcare providers for a while now. He's a vocal opponent of gender-affirming care and abortion rights, and has been using his position as senator to bully providers
Senator Bill Cassidy cast a pivotal vote to confirm RFK Jr. while vowing to constrain him. Cassidy has clearly failed to do so, writes Nicholas Florko.

About "nonviolence"—

The definition of "violence" is not neutral.

What counts as violence is determined by those who control public discourse. This is why police can terrorize people without it registering as violence, while the slightest act of community defense is framed as "violence."

This is a terrifying but sobering thought. Everything he does is about how it can be spun to position him next to people he thinks are the "greats." Other than money, he doesn't care about anything else in the world. This is why he keeps bringing up Washington and Lincoln.
The mission is for Trump to be seen as a wartime president. That's the goal, that's the dream at all cost to the American people. That's what the parade is for and that's what calling the troops is all about
