This guy needs transport from Solano County to LA County (Suisun to Palmdale, CA) if anyone has ideas for getting him there before Monday. His chances of survival are best if he goes asap but I am having a baf time with my neck issues and Chewy isn’t feeling well so I want to keep an eye on him.
Goliath’s hanging in there, not pooping on his own yet but he is more alert and active today and eating for us now unassisted. He’s showing some minor signs of URI, but probably is not going to the emergency vet tonight? Fingers crossed?

I've never seen such a disconnect between Dem elected/staff/consultants and actual Dem voters.

The latter understand what's going on.

The former are awash in right-wing brainrot, hence @schatz.bsky.social blaming COVID mitigation and BLM marches for the GOP's wanton destruction of public health.

Single-use plastic bans quietly shelved
A final wave of plastic bans has been pushed back indefinitely, though previous 'sustainable' replacements may not have been as green as they seem.

Of course mainstream media keeps rolling over for Colossal, providing uncritical hype and coverage in exchange for exclusivity and “wow.” What Colossal is doing is wrong and they can’t even deliver what they promise. How many times do we have to go over this?

Dire wolves were not close relatives of gray wolves. They last shared a common ancestor more than 5 million years ago. What Colossal has done is make something new and slapped a dire wolf sticker on it, as if an organism equals a hypothetical genome.

Imagine thinking Gaza swung the election when he's saying shit like this and nobody cares
Trump: "You know how I feel about the Gaza Strip. I think it's an incredible piece of important real estate. And I think it's something that we would be involved in. Having a peace force like the US there controlling and owning the Gaza Strip would be a good thing ... you call it the Freedom Zone."

this is a good post and "decadence" is a good way to think about a lot of things. true decadence is, eg, thinking you could let an insurrection go unpunished and the country would just keep chugging along nbd

People say twitter/online isn't real life, but it certainly gave a clearer view of what to expect from the incoming trump admin than the media did. You could pretty obviously see who he was surrounding himself with.
The business community wanted Trump because no one told them that he's a senile old man surrounded by nazis. The media instead sold a fake version of Trump that was a genius businessman. The reality has been somewhat startling to them!
There are pages and pages of this stuff. Hard to overstate how badly the White House is torching potential for economic activity rn.

@schatz.bsky.social as your constituent, I would like an explanation for your vote today. It seems to go against everything you have said and posted thus far. If it is akin to votes to make trips to Munich more convenient, for instance, please own this.

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House.

We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication.

They own what happens next.
