Here’s the bottom line for what’s going on with Grok - if the owner of the website is putting his thumb on the scale hard enough for the chatbot to turn into Goebbels, you should be deeply concerned about what he’s doing to the algorithm that you can’t so easily see, and what it’s doing to you

I know several incredible humans who are neurodivergent. None of them celebrate like that. None of them cheer like that. None of them wave like that. None of them. It’s not a spectrum thing, it’s a him thing, and they all know it.

It is irresponsible to accuse someone of working for Putin simply because they repeat Kremlin propaganda, have extensive contacts with Russia, and derive nearly all of their income from suspiciously large numbers of Substack subscribers.

Nate Silver saying "I hate this but I'll change my opinion if you pay me enough" is a bit too on the nose
Nate Silver says you would have to pay him "millions of dollars per year to be an active Bluesky member" while talking about how everyone mocks him on ExTwitter, but he's cool with it.

He calls Bluesky "the worst party in the world."

He makes a lot of very wrong assumptions about folks here.
Listened to this podcast yesterday. They talked about Bluesky. They’re clueless on this and other topics. Not sure why I listen to it.

I want to watch TV coverage of the live fall of the Syrian regime.

CNN is airing a Giuliani documentary, Fox News has a comedian joking about Canada, MSNBC a documentary about migrants

So I turned on BBC,which is breathlessly switching between Syria, South Korea demonstrations, and Ghana election

My feelings about the Hunter Biden pardon are complicated, but the idea that it gives Trump justification to pardon January 6th insurrectionists is a ridiculous, bad-faith take. He’s going to do whatever he wants and abuse his power to help himself and those loyal to him.
