what I hear when people say to keep politics out of a social space is "please don't challenge me and my narratives in any way" and I take this as a challenge to rock their inner world as subtly as possible

from how incensed and scared people seem, I think that movement is building. it's not too late to stop this from continuing. we can do this.
briefly popping in to say the reason we aren’t seeing mass movement in response to the united states kidnapping the (dictatorial) leader of a sovereign nation is the same reason why the united states feels emboldened to kidnap the leader of a sovereign nation

if you have any extra cash, you're a target to be shaken down. the destruction of the middle class is a side effect of the breakdown of the social contract. and of course, systemic effects and outright bigotry mean this hits the folks least able to fight it first

As daily goals, "stop fascism," "defeat evil," and "save the world" probably aren't going to get you anywhere, and might leave you feeling overwhelmed and helpless, but "work towards building something good" is always achievable, concrete, and useful.
