One thing I'll say about DC not only canceling Red Hood, but recalling the first issue and refunding stores for buying it, is that you can still get Neil Gaiman's work through them. They still work with Otto Schmidt. Eddie Berganza worked there for years AFTER the formation of a policy that no women

Amid these ICE raids, something folks should understand about the Chicago suburbs is that a lot of stereotypes about the era of white flight from the city do not apply. A lot of these folks were priced out of Chicago and many commute to work here. They are part of the same social fabric.

it's imperfect as an amazon wish list, but it's something we can manage amongst our safe networks, we will distro food quickly

Louisiana has to build three new natural gas power plants to accommodate the "AI" data center that Meta just crammed through because said center will use *Three Times* as much electricity (and, thus, attendant resources) as the *Entire City Of New Orleans*, every year.

Y'all this isn't sustainable.
La. regulators approve Entergy power plants for Meta’s AI data center
Louisiana Public Service Commissioners voted four to one to approve Entergy’s three new gas plants to power Meta’s largest-ever data center.

Firing and demoralizing feminized jobs as enemies of the state while brazenly bribing men with violent jobs that almost instantly puts them into the middle of middle class is very basic gendered warfare. Fulfilling the manosphere’s promise.
It is insane to me that the government can find money to pay ICE agents increasingly larger sums of money, yet teachers have to buy their own pencils.

Yes! Vaccines are your body making its own medicine. No refill, no follow up, no “lifetime customer.” The simplistic “pharma keeps us sick to keep us hooked” MAHA narrative collapses when you actually look at political economy of vaccines. Vaccines literally end their own market except for kids.
I realize broad science-literacy problems cannot generally be solved just by shoving more facts at people but I really wish more people understood that the entire purpose and mechanism of a vaccine is to educate your OWN immune system, making it about the most "natural" medical intervention possible

This is some bullshit, if you’re a constituent call the governor:

Chicago 313-814-2121

Springfield 217-782-6830

Might as well also call
UChicago Medicine 773-702-1000
Rush Children’s Hospital 888-352-7874
Lurie’s Children’s Hospital 312-227-400
Chicago hospitals are scaling back trans care for youth. A rapid response team is stepping in.
The team has a network of practitioners in Illinois who don’t rely on payments from the federal government, which threatens to cut funding to gender-affirming care providers.

“banning pornography” is bad on its own but it is imperative that everyone understand that these people consider the very existence of queer people to be pornographic

they consider the most chaste depiction of a queer relationship, or an openly trans person, to be porn and they want it banned
You don’t have to like, approve of, or engage with porn and nsfw work to see how right wing extremists are using fear and stigma around smut to ban queer people from public life, define “good” sex as only between married people for procreation, and otherwise further force white supremacy on everyone

Prisons don’t create safety—they disappear people. And when politicians like Klobuchar fight to keep them open for jobs, what they’re really defending is a racialized economy built on warehousing human beings instead of investing state time and energy into care, housing, health, or other jobs.
NEWS: the Bureau of Prisons just decided to reverse course and keep their facility in Duluth open. I urged BOP leadership to take this step to protect these good paying jobs that are vital to the local economy.
