Dear Viz
What a joke these so-called “speed bumps” are. If anything, they slow you down.
'Speed bumps are like Snowdonia and damaging our cars'
Drivers have got the hump with new traffic calming measures which they say are overkill and damaging their cars.

"delivered step free access at more than 250 stations since 2006"

In 18 years, only 250 stations have been made step free. That's an average of just over 1 per month.

There are 2577 stations in the UK, and many aren't accessible. This process needs to happen quicker.

One of the reasons why I happily voted for my mayor is that she removed cars from Paris. The pollution level decline speaks for itself.

Fingers crossed for the next election, since the illegal car lobbyist will surely run again and we know what she will do.

Utrecht leads by he world when it comes to cycling infrastructure.
In 2016, Utrecht became the first city to introduce a bicycle parking route information system. Digital signs display real-time parking availability.

LUMIGUIDE supplied the entire system including bicycle detection systems in most of the parking facilities in Utrecht.

We have a real crisis of the perception of transit in the country when people are choosing to get in cars with strangers and get virtually mugged by big tech mega corporations, than take one of the many NJT buses than run this route 24/7

An Edmonton (Canada) suburb installed a "bike lane" that has stop and "cyclists dismount" signs for cyclists at EVERY SINGLE CAR CROSSING - at EVERY exit from every parking lot, etc. There are dozens of them in a 2km stretch. Stop. Dismount. Stop. Dismount. Stop. Dismount. Over, and over, and over.

People who cause death or serious injuries while driving ought to lose the privilege to drive for life.

And lets extend the driving ban to those who use phones/drink while driving.
Jailed for 26 months and banned from driving for just 40 months.

The victim, a mother aged in her 40s, is left unable to move, speak or breathe independently following the crash.

The system is so very clearly not working.

Very important line here from Transport Secretary Louise Haigh on road safety:

"We treat road safety in a way as if it is somehow a natural accident. If the number of people being killed or seriously injured on our roads, were being killed in any other way, we'd be treating it as a pandemic."

Urbanism wins when people who own cars don’t feel the need to use them all the time.
An important note is that, at least for my family, e-bikes have replaced many car *trips*, not necessarily cars, because we don’t live in a super dense city and neighborhood. And that’s ok. We need every incremental change we can get.
Wine and firewood are just two of the things I hauled home with my old RadWagon. I used this bike a lot to carry my kids, too

Its rather sad that signs are needed to remind society of the very basics.
“We don't right now have any information about who put them up. We do know that they're very professionally designed signs. They're very large. They're very well done. So someone went to a lot of trouble to put these large signs up.”
Boulder’s explicit traffic safety signs are the latest real-looking fakes on Colorado roads
Several of the signs were concentrated along 28th Street, a busy north-south thoroughfare that the city has identified as being particularly dangerous.
