‪Doctors say that vaccines protect children from dangerous diseases. A nepo baby who barbecues dogs and snorts cocaine off toilet seats says that vaccines make children vulnerable to 5G radiation. For busy parents, it can be hard to know who to trust.

Reverse heist where I put one of my artworks into the museum. Gotta go with Art Institute of Chicago because I respect them the most

This is what Republicans want. Vote every last one of them out, no matter the office. Don't let these monsters anywhere near government again.
In the early morning, ICE raided the elementary school bus stop during the pick-up time, causing panic among the 4th and 5th graders. This unfortunate event took place outside the Woodland Village Apartments in Lindenwold, New Jersey.

The FTC and state AGs need to act *now* to stop this. Last time Meta slipped facial rec into its products (face tagging), enforcers dawdled. Meta took 11 years to wind it back.

We can't afford a decade of roving FRT-enabled surveillance cameras in every bathroom, clinic, classroom, and protest.
In an internal memo in May, Meta laid out its plans to release facial recognition in its smart glasses, to the blind first, & then to the general public.

“Civil society groups that we would expect to attack us would have their resources focused on other concerns.”

A leaked internal Meta memo included in the article noted that, due to the current political environment, “[C]ivil society groups that we would expect to attack us would have their resources focused on other concerns.” EPIC would like to take this opportunity to demonstrate our ability to multitask.

An article in the NYT today revealed Meta’s plan to take advantage of current political turmoil to sneak facial recognition into their smart glasses without enforcement bodies or privacy advocates noticing. But EPIC has noticed—and is ensuring that enforcers do, too. www.nytimes.com/2026/02/13/t...

My parents were all girl groups of the 50s/60s, protest songs, broadway musicals, and classic rock (what we’d identify as 60s-80s rock now). I definitely have the more modern stuff I adore but I also go back to all that stuff and still love so much of it
I know it's just childhood conditioning, but it sure feels like I actually enjoy the music of the 1960s

Out of my wheelhouse so can someone clarify: do “meal cards” work the same way—money deducted from a paycheck & put on the card? Or are they essentially being given a ~$14k/yr “raise” to cover the $39/day, which they’d then have to pay taxes on? (Shifting tax burden to soldiers or is it tax free?)

There is literally no better example of textbook fascistic thinking than "Who cares about human rights when the rich are doing so very well"
Bondi crashes out over Epstein: "The Dow is over 50,000 dollars! I don't know why you're laughing. You're a great stock trader as I hear, Raskin. The Dow is over 50,000 right now. The S&P at almost 7,000, and the Nasdaq smashing records. That's what we should be talking about."
