In a last generational act of defiance, before everyone only ever cares about zoomers, millennials have finally ruined going broke.
stupid young people, stop buying a new phone every year if you don't want to be broke. wait no, not like that.

Maybe we could say that the common denominator is not having the gender you were assigned at birth, and maybe this is sufficient if we say that this is itself a pattern of experiences (being subject to expectations, always struggling and failing to fulfill them etc.).

The fact that everyone totally ignores C3PO when he says stuff like this makes a lot more sense if you think of him as a ChatGPT type computer who just says plausible sounding sentences without any real analysis behind them.

we are being warned - but being warned about what? the danger becomes just a floating signifier, some thing without semantics seems to threaten our lives. i would argue that there is nothing more post modern than probe alarm for it shows how desperately liberal ideology needs a threat to status quo

If you listen to money people—especially in tech—who chose authoritarianism, they complain about wokeness, MeToo, BLM, and call themselves victims of the “elites.” Not primarily about money.

What did that banker celebrate after Trump’s election? Not tax cuts. Getting to say racial and gender slurs.
Last week someone made this point, a lot of money people (including tech) made a very clear, very calculated decision that authoritarianism, even a corrupt kleptocracy, was better for them financially than risking Dems doing a wealth tax/tax fairness etc. It was an eyes-wide-open choice.
Cuban explains why companies like Intel are happy to give fascists a cut. The wealthiest people in the country see it as a smaller sacrifice than what progressives are proposing in higher taxes.
