a lot of tech founders have this idea that everyone who works in tech secretly wants to start a company, but this isn’t my experience at all, most people don’t, and most of the ones that do just want to do it because they think there’s a gap for a product somewhere, they don’t want to run it

The thing about people saying that they would like to pay more money for fewer games that are shorter with worse graphics is that they are, by and large, lying. The ones who aren't have already been captured by Itch
Every studio is frantically looking to cut costs of output because most studios are very financially squeezed, and the likely alternatives to things like AI & other tool assistance is not "employ more people," it's probably "employ fewer & work them harder," or "don't make games."

the interesting thing about LLMs to me is that I think they're infinitely more useful than crypto (all scams) or the metaverse (dumb bullshit strapped to your head) but also not nearly as useful as VCs and CEOs claim, so that leaves us in this middle ground where you have to learn how they work
