100% this. Of course these people aren’t going to lose their entire fanbase, but the acceptability and actual expectation of ostracizing terrible people (and child rapists are, let’s be clear, among the worst) is rising rapidly.

"Canceling” THESE motherfuckers will be uncontroversial.
"What if one of YOUR favorite politicians/celebrities/etc is on the list?" Did you all not notice how quickly we dropped Neil Gaiman when we found out about the things he did? Do you know how beloved that guy used to be and how loathed he is now? I think that right there should answer your question.

Printing this image out and taking it in my time machine back to 1995 to ask people what they think the caption is referring to.

I mean, they DID strip his fellow child rapist of his royal titles, so I get the acrimony.

Reposting from a friend: JUPITER SAYS TRANS RIGHTS

What he didn’t realize is how wild this is, because there’s ALREADY a class of planetesimals called “Trans-Neptunian Objects”, so this is the Solar System getting even MORE queer. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

JFC the tongue-washing of a disgraced journalist that violated some of the most important ethical principles of her chosen profession while providing journalistic cover to a man that’s going to get untold numbers of Americans killed via preventable illness is certainly A Choice That Can Be Made.

I love Partially Muscled Skeleton Screaming by the Perimeter Fence Day, but it’s gotten so commercialized. You can’t go three blocks without seeing some brick-and-mortar store converted to a Spirit Partially Muscled Skeleton Screaming by the Perimeter Fence Day.
Goodness me, I stayed up late reading and it’s already Partially Muscled Skeleton Screaming by the Perimeter Fence Day. Hope you’ve all been good this year!

Mascot: the Sun / Son

That’s right, dual mascots! One is actually Icarus, the son of Daedalus, the other is Icarus’s nemesis, the Sun!*

* Icarus’s actual nemesis was hubris, excessive ambition, and not paying sufficient attention to the preflight briefing
This is a real flight school, teaching people to fly planes!!! Like????

Anyone who says this administration isn’t segregationist white supremacists is either wholly clueless (which is a lot of people, admitted) or approves of it.
This is the same administration that has ordered the return of a Confederate monument to Arlington National Cemetery--one which celebrates the "loyal slave" narrative as represented by the images of the "faithful mammy" and a body servant (slave) in Confederate uniform. 🗃️

My most woke opinion is-

-what, you think I’m going to disclose that on a public microblogging site? Nice try, FED.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

Epstein and his extensive Big Book O’ Kid Rapists, Musk’s Dad, Matt Gaetz, etc. etc.

Let’s just have a fucking matriarchy for a few generations.

Not that women CAN’T be evil assholes (e.g., Ghislane Maxwell), but I suspect we’d see a lot fewer examples of horrifying sexual power crimes.

It’s wild how the underlying structure of business/work keeps changing in empowering ways, but the entrenched senior managerial structure just wants nothing to do with it.

Well, that and also the fever-nightmare conspiracy theories about “15 minute cities” because anything good must be nefarious?
When Covid caused NYC offices to hollow out what they found was that yeah the core business districts suffered but the neighborhoods where people actually live, thrived.

All WFH means is rethinking business districts, not cities.
if you cant go in to the office 3 days a week then you really can't complain when cities are hollowed out. cities are places where ppl work and network. getting rid of that makes cities useless

Aside from deservedly spreading this and ruining this fuckstick’s life, can I just add that he’s the Platonic ideal of a College Republican. The flessce quarter-zip, the pink polo, the semi-broccoli cut, and the smug fucking look on his face.
According to the car wash owner, agents arrested employees before they could obtain their documentation from their work lockers. So many were likely here legally.

Here's hoping this article on Zac boasting about how he ruined some immigrants' lives follows him around for a very long time.

Bad news folks, Great Replacement theory has reached the cattle.

They don’t like the way this country is being steered. They don’t fall for this “multiculturalism” bull, nor will they be cowed by politically correct scolds.

We treat violent crime as a scourge necessitating (usually ineffective) extreme means to fight it, while sexual abuse/assault, particularly by family members, isn’t treated as a priority beyond lip-service…despite the lifetime trauma and damage it can do directly AND the indirect harms to society.
The idea that sexual abuse is part of “private” life instead of a public crisis has done incalculable damage. Anti-rape activists have to fight to even make it possible to expose sexual abuse as a wrongdoing in public without being silenced and undermined. That fight is far from won

The moral injury of having to bear witness to this, to tear bonds of family because of allegiance to these monsters, the devastation they're doing to the record of a country that, flawed and guilty as it is, I love deeply, is going to do such lasting damage to us, is utterly appalling.
along with the heinous literal crimes i think a lot about how there's a kind of moral, national crime in subjecting all of us to this, to this consuming our politics, committed against us by a number of powerful and connected people up to and including the president

I have a story. It’s not flattering.

This guy started whining at me from the other end of the couch to come sit on the chaise so he could cuddle up. I was comfy where I was, and had my laptop.

He proceeded to walk over, shove my laptop out of the way with his nose, stomp around on my lap…(ctd)
