Is anyone other than @techfreedom.org filing an amicus brief in Commonwealth of Massachusetts v. Meta (SJC-13747)? It looks like there's 1 week before the deadline. As a MA resident, I'd cosign a brief urging the Court not to create a regulatory regime that Meta can survive but small sites can't

There are a large number of Democratic politicians who insist that Jonathan Haidt is a reliable narrator and one who they should take their legislative cues from. They should be asked why they're supporting someone the Heritage Foundation is cheering on in their efforts to censor the internet.

These people are unashamedly evil and should be summarily guillotined
The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

Words can hardly capture how proud I am of my students.

I'm so excited about this new student organization dedicated to the First Amendment and I'm honored to serve as their faculty advisor.
My co-founder and I just launched the First Amendment Law Society. In a time of rising censorship, we built space for law students to speak, dissent, and shape the future. Grateful to our school @jmiers230.bsky.social. Say it. Mean it. Make it matter.
FALS is now live! We founded the First Amendment Law Society to protect uncomfortable, unpopular, and unfiltered speech in an age of government censorship. No allegiance to ideology—just the Constitution. Say it. Mean it. Make it Matter.

I don’t need to explain why it’s wildly unacceptable for the military to be illegally privately financed by the president’s wealthy allies, right?
New: The Pentagon confirms to CNN it will funnel $130M from an anonymous Trump “friend” toward military pay.

Asked about the donor’s identity and any foreign or domestic entanglements, the WH referred questions to DoD. DoD then referred questions back to the WH

That's not "fraudulent use of deepfakes," that's FREE SPEECH.

This prosecution violates the First Amendment.
Prosecutors in #NewHampshire charged a man with felony “fraudulent use of deepfakes” after he obtained body cam video of a #Laconia police officer arresting him, edited the audio to make it seem like the officer said he admires the man and wants his autograph, and posted the video on social media.

Absolutely no way that this is about anything other than intimidation meant to aid the GOP. Everything that the DOJ has done since January 20, 2025, has made clear that it does not serve the rule of law or democracy. It serves Donald Trump and his allies, and them alone.

Wrote about why, even if you hate AI and data scrapers, Reddit's lawsuit is pretty damn crazy. They're claiming that getting data from Google (not Reddit) violates copyrights that Reddit doesn't hold, meaning Reddit can claim copyright infringement. It's ridiculous.

There is no evidence the Instagram and Facebook account, called Montcowatch, sells anything. Lawyers from the ACLU say the move is "wildly outside the scope" of DHS' authority.

Ah I see why we aren't talking about this. The gun belonged to a DHS employee.

Super.
The CharacterAI lawsuit is tragic. Full stop. No child should feel compelled to take their life.

But MSM does a serious disservice by glossing over the fact that the child had easy access to a firearm.

Anything to avoid the long overdue conversation about guns.
