Teen Vogue and WIRED are both part of Conde Nast. If they've cut the politics coverage at Teen Vogue... it makes me worried they'll cut Wired as well. I hope not, but...
Two of the media organizations that have really "met the moment" in national coverage are Teen Vogue and WIRED.
Along with student-run college newspapers in general. And scores of local start-ups.

For any unfamiliar with the quality of journalism at Teen Vogue, it's well known for hard-hitting stories on "politically sensitive" topics including climate.
Then there's CBS: the only major network to increase climate coverage in the last few years. They just axed nearly their whole climate team.

Queer art isn't illegal. But lawmakers in Oklahoma believe that if they make the criminal liability threatening enough, event spaces, permit boards, municipal clerks and protest organizers will treat it as if it is — and do the censorship for them.
Bizarre how sure Oklahoma lawmakers seemed that they banned drag performers with a law banning obscene performances ... Now that they found out that, no, it doesn't work like that, they're trying to convince local governments that they have to pretend it does reason.com/2025/11/03/o...
Oklahoma's obscenity bait and switch could ban pride parades and public drag shows
These lawmakers expect local authorities to ban "obscenity" before it happens—a recipe for chilling a wide variety of legal speech.

Adding Marsha Blackburn and Amy Klobuchar to this list, and sadly, my own junior senator (Angela Alsobrooks) is looking like she's going to end up on that list sooner or later, sigh.
My general rule of thumb is never trust any internet bill from Josh Hawley or Richard Blumenthal. And if it's from both of them, it almost certainly should be tossed into a burning fire pit never to be spoken of again. This is another moral panic nonsense bill.

My immediate concern, besides the obvious privacy invasive age verification, was that the bill's definition of "A.I. Chatbot" would be so broad that it would end up banning everyone under 18 from using the internet. Can anyone verify?
