Went to see Four Lions in the smallest screen in Exeter Odeon in my early 20s. Only other person was a middle aged bloke sat a few seats away.

We both laughed our arses off throughout. At the end we shared a look that felt to me "I'm glad I watched this with someone else who got how funny this is!"
I would like to hear if you have ever had one (1) transformational experience in a movie theater. Don't care if it's high art or low, somber or funny, poetic or banal - I just want to hear about that one time at the movies that changed you at the atomic level.

I know I should go to bed, but I feel like I'm watching either the start of the 2nd American Civil War or the beginnings of WW3.

Either one, I am worried for our future as a species, and I hope future generation have the opportunity learn the lessons that seem to have been forgotten since 1945.

As they are every Christmas Eve, Perfect Roast Potatoes are #RecipeOfTheDay. And while I’m rather embarrassed by the immodesty of this particular recipe title, in all honesty, I can’t disavow it www.nigella.com/recipes/perf...
Perfect Roast Potatoes
Needs must and all that, so I have always been an open anti-perfectionist, but in truth (and I’m sorry to repeat what I’ve said before) it is impossible to cook roast potatoes without needing them to ...

I had a lot of fun discussing some excellent short films with @stoghz.bsky.social & @trivialad.bsky.social on this week's episode of @sequelisers.bsky.social.

You can even watch most of them for free on YouTube and we included links for them in the show notes.

Please repost (retweet) stuff on here. Once that stopped on Twitter, we comedians didn’t feel the platform was working for us. I know it’s a wank thing to ask to publicise us, but we need it and we publicise loads of other things. Isn’t reposting a comedian better than reposting outrage? I hope so.

I've been thinking about this poem by Langston Hughes recently and although it was published in 1931, it remains relevant as ever.

For those who don't know this story, which I first shared six years ago today....

This one time I got my days wrong at work and ended up alone in a room with my boss and the President of Ireland while I was on ketamine.

Many years ago, I came across a book called "Over 1000 Why's And How To Be Wise".

It consists of 1704 questions written by one person, and a lot of them are insane!

I shall post one page a day for amusement and discussion!
