Brilliant twist 👌
Let's talk items. First up; the flow staff! You can see it in the trailer.

The flow staff folds in to fight and out to fly; both in the game and on the sheet. But it's weaker than most heavy weapons.

All illustrated items have mechanics on the back. Never look up a magic item effect again.

Increasingly convinced the main damage cell phones have done to creativity isn't decreased attention spans or what not but the elimination of productive boredom. Inspiration comes from the mind filling the void inside. Hard to make art when you're constantly silencing the silence with "content."

Just watched The Phoenician Scheme. Average Wes Anderson, which for me still means very entertaining, but the most interesting thing is that there are no meta levels. After the three levels of Asteroid City, and the stylized shorts, it's a welcome break.

porn > nazis should be considered a basic value of any civilized society
Periodic reminder:Substack profits off Nazi pages bc they don't want to be "in the censorship business,"but they also won't host adult content,so they ARE in the "censorship business." They just think Nazis are better than pornographers.

This is why I will never give Substack a single shiny nickel.

Just the other day, I was talking to some friends, lamenting that we probably wouldn't see another Pynchon novel. This makes me extremely happy. www.theguardian.com/books/2025/a...

This is a beautiful, quirky and dark little game. Can confirm it's fun to play, and I'm not even a Dark Souls player. Recommended.
The campaign for our Soulslike, roguelike story TTRPG is nearing its end.

It’s a weird little game and we’re a weird little publisher—we’ve already maxed out our own reach.

Please consider reposting so that the game might find more of its weird little audience!

it's cool that we reached the peak of most computer programs in like 2012 and they've all gotten worse since then. i use a pirated copy of photoshop cs6 and office 2010 at home
A version of Microsoft Word with banner ads and surprise video pop-ups that doesn't let you *save files to your computer*. Just the thought of this is painful www.theverge.com/news/618278/...

Recommend this. Rather brilliant little game.
Knight Forlorn is on Kickstarter for #ZineQuest!

A Soulslike, roguelike story game, it uses procedural generation, rotating roles, and punishing battles to wave tales of a lone wanderer on a futile quest in a dying world.

I wish there was more of a push from writers/websites to have people use RSS. I know Google Reader's death made it harder, but there's apps now like Inoreader and Feedly that work on phones that I think people would use. It's just easier to see something through RSS feeds than checking social media

When you're exploring a new city or learning a new language, you don't understand everything all at once. You take little details and put them away for later.
That's how I run megadungeons. References to old rulers, strange coins, repeating themes. They make sense eventually.
