A fairly auspicious reading, if you ask me - bringing the new beginnings from 2025 into a year of sudden changes & shedding the things I've been afraid to let go of to allow myself to do something new.

My daily writing project for the year
The Trollshaws A note on history 2,000 years ago, Arnor was divided into three kingdoms, each ruled by one of the High King's sons. The Kingdom of Rhudaur stretched from the Weather Hills near Bree to the Misty Mountains. 1,000 years ago, the three kingdoms of Arnor fell, destroyed in wars with the Witch-King of Angmar. Today, much of the former territory of Rhudaur lies within the Trollshaws. Its ruins, made with art and skill now lost in Middle-earth, remain throughout the land. A note on geography The Trollshaws are defined as the lands between the Rivers Hoarwell (S. Mitheithel) to the west and Loudwater (S. Bruinen) to the east, with the Misty Mountains forming its northeastern border. The Great East Road cuts through the Trollshaws, stretching from the Last Bridge to the Fords of Bruinen in Rivendell, the home of Elrond Half-elven. The area south of the East Road is called "The Angle." In the past, the Angle has served as part of the kingdom of Rhudaur, a home for Dunedain refugees, and a home for Stoors. Today, it is only the home of trolls. The current situation No large groups of the Free Peoples make permanent settlements in the Trollshaws, but need and adventure sometimes bring travelers to this land. Importantly, the Great East Road is an important connection to the High Pass over the Misty Mountains: Men, Elves, Rangers, and Dwarves travel this path. Dunlendings dwell in the lands south, and occasionally make forays into the Trollshaws. The nearest pieces of "civilization" are the Inn at the Last Bridge (46.87) and Rivendell (45.101). Trolls are the main inhabitants of the land. They live alone or in small family groups. The factions of the Trollshaws can be thought of as the following: The Ogres are a group of bandits who style themselves as monsters. Their leader is named Eadred. They are provisioned by the Necromancer, and have a tense alliance with Mormog and an ostensible truce with Mother Lump. Their camp is in 46.89. Mormog is the captain of the Necromancer's forces in the Trollshaws. His small army currently holds Cameth Brin (38.94), the former capital city of Rhudaur. His goal is to press the local trolls into his service. He has extorted an oath of loyalty from Mother Lump (she intends to betray him). He sees the Ogres as his subordinates (they do not agree). If there was a leader to the trolls, Mother Lump (45.93) would be it. After all, she is the mother of many. To Mormog, she feigns a false helplessness and promises that she'll do everything she can to keep her boys from interfering with the Necromancer's plans or devouring the Ogres. She bides her time, confident that both annoying groups of interlopers will soon be residents of her cauldron.

If you have a #ZineMonth project set up.
USPS mail is really resistant to sending zines as letter mail (especially in a rigid mailer).

If your zine is more 2.6oz you should anticipate sending it media or parcel.
