People have a lot of trouble wrapping their mind around “too disabled to really function well” and “not disabled enough for the state to certify you” but that is in fact where most people fall because the standards to get certified as disabled by the government are MEANT to gatekeep.

It’s also physically impossible for a lot of disabled people, and a LOT more people are functionally disabled after Covid than anyone wants to admit.

Disabled people as always are gonna take the brunt of the shutdown. Losing services and access to community. More and more will end up houseless or in jail. The plan for them is always jail or death. And the community around them has to care!!!
