I picked up this new Tsuen Wan Walking Map by the HK Tourism Commission today to send to a friend, and one of the recommended sights was the Tsuen Wan Noise Barrier, because it’s-and I quote-“known as the Senbon Torii of Hong Kong”. This made me cringe so hard. Sigh.

Spent last night practically begging friends to view things with nuance and a little critical thinking. In this case it was a discussion about Carter. I’m sure he was a lovely fellow but no one is perfect and certainly no politician should be deified, even in death. 1/

So many Hong Kong drivers turn corners quite fast whilst also not using their blinkers to indicate they’re about to turn. As a pedestrian who is interested in staying alive, this annoys me. Use your blinkers so I know not to step in front of you, people! 😓
