I can promise there will never be a AI in any game I make.

Easy. But also important to say anyways.

In gamedev, if you're using a placeholder asset, best practices involve marking it as placeholder so garishly and offensively clearly PLACEHOLDER that you can't possibly miss it. Also flagging that asset in the dev process so it can be identified quickly before the final build.

Fun '06 fact: the button window text is always rendered twice, but is covered up by the main menu panels, so you don't see the duplicate at the top left.

Godot thing I noticed. When it comes to opened models, TSCN files are just archives and not references.

Been driving me nuts trying to figure out why reimported model anims weren't updating.

Turns out they *can't*.

It'd be better to maintain an animlibrary of exported anims, I guess.

Code is sometimes just cascading chains of things that have to be fixed so other things can be fixed.

I finished up some hurtbox code over the last month and felt like Hal from Malcom in the Middle.

"Hey finish those hurtboxes?"

*Looks up from improving engine printline support*

"Workin' on it!"

Turn off Gemini in Google!
It's been turned on by default.

Go to your Drive, click the gear icon, click settings, go to "manage apps" and uncheck that nasty "use by default" box.

Hey, I worked on this! I didn't open the Unity editor a single time, but I did use it as an excuse to get back into writing music for the first time in YEARS. Including learning Ableton from scratch, since it was time to move on from Reaper.

Because I simply can't stop, I also did a game jam this weekend.

(More like I signed up for suff and forgot they were all close lol)

The theme was "mundane" so we made a game about cleaning up leaf piles. But also if those piles fought back.

I've shown this effect before, but there's something else that's cool about it. There's nothing stopping me from placing these fake windows in front of walls. This is how the doors to other maps work. I didn't model any openings.
