Ooh, yeah that'll teach you quick. Nice work! At the end of the day it's mostly about understanding how to make shapes from shapes.

Characters are a bit trickier but nothing lots of practice won't cover for you haha.

Good to hear!

I'm curous, what kinda 3d stuff do you to to practice?
November 14, 2025 at 3:51 PM
Ooh, I've been needing something like this!

Man you can't just be dropping these heartrate spikes on my timeline

The last time this happened in a game jam I set the offending UV to 0 and stuck it off on a single pixel somewhere

Now I triple check it, just to be sure

Oh no, that *sucks*

I'm so sorry
November 7, 2025 at 1:43 PM
Oh wow, this game is just a demo so far and *already* has speedruns??

Gamedev is all smoke and mirrors on a rickety platform and I *love* it.

All these little tricks that make everything work, haha
November 6, 2025 at 3:50 PM
Oh wow, this is genius.

I wouldn't have thought about using negative space like that, wow
November 5, 2025 at 3:00 PM
Oh I LOVE the colors here!
November 4, 2025 at 10:06 PM
*looks, blegh

Thank you, keyboard
November 3, 2025 at 10:16 PM
Ooh this look even better in motion!

Virtua Quest being a weird Phantasy Star Online flavored Virtua Fighter spin-off isn't talked about enough, I think.

Man, not only do I want to see that, I want to *see stories* about that.

Hearing about the last "code hydra" people had to deal with where each fix caused more problems than solutions sounds fun!

The more impressive bit is having what's shown be interesting. I have a month of real hard refactoring done and the end result is a circle that just follows my character haha

Having consistent visual updates is DIFFICULT.

Right!

Like yeah I can see a path to connect A and B but there's 8 files in the middle that need adjusting and shifting one means changing two others each time.

Your desigs obviously have the sauce so I feel like you could pull this without much trouble.

But if you want to avoid having to host you can try sigining up for any of the various public jams as a rando if you just want the exp.

Well honestly, the hardest part is scheduling. If you pretty much just say "hey I want to jam out a game for X design project." Pick 3 folks with different skills, DM them, & find a week where you're all free. Or weekend, but I would recommend a longer time for a semicomplex game w/ new teammates.
