we could really use any help affording our move—- I’m down to only ordering a single shipping container/giving away everything we can/depending on our own ability to load it—— if you can donate/share to help us get support, it would mean so much to us, we’re knuckling through things as much as able
I am experiencing— and have been experiencing— transphobic violence in the course of decades spent in AR; any help we can get to move back to NorCal where we’re originally from is greatly appreciated 🫶 TYIA

democrats are very capable of fighting to defend their core principals, like 'insider trading'
A discharge petition to advance a policy ending congressional stock trading was finally moving forward when Hakeem Jeffries sucked the air out of it. By proposing his own bill that no Republican would sign, Jeffries effectively made consensus impossible. From @ddayen.bsky.social:
Jeffries Undercuts Congressional Stock Trading Ban - The American Prospect
A bipartisan solution was gaining momentum, but the House Democratic leader just issued his own bill that will prevent consensus.

So in the UK, they'll arrest you for supporting Palestine, and now we find they'll also arrest you for supporting those who support Palestine.

If you hold a Free Greta sign, will they arrest you for supporting someone who supports those who support Palestine?

British Matryoshka doll-ass fascism.
Greta Thunberg has been arrested on terrorism charges for speaking out in support of the Palestine Action hunger strikers.

FUCK this British government.

This this this this this! You know how long I’ve been sitting on ideas for tabletop games without playing them? It’s been longer than I’ve been on Bluesky!
Even beyond that it’s hard to think about queer elf-games when the villains are less evil than the RL ones.
God I hate how anti-intellectual out times are. I’d rather be sitting here reading interesting books, or learning about astronomy stuff, or making a movie about weird shit - but I gotta spend energy constantly explaining my existence to a world that empathizes more with Nazis then marginalized ppl.

Please do not feed personal information to chatGPT. Please do not tell it where you work and live and how to get money from you.

They know that TurboTax is easier than doing it by hand and cheaper (mostly) than going to an accountant.

That accountant had to sign ethical standards. ChatGPT can’t.
TurboTax is about to be integrated into ChatGPT, where customers will be guided through tasks tied to their tax filings or financial profile by the AI chatbot.

TurboTax owner Intuit is also paying OpenAI more than $100 million a year to power AI agents.

We could easily house, feed & care for everyone

We could build devices designed to last as long as possible aligning our manufacturing around the needs of the people & planet

We've materially the resources to do so. We're just now using them mostly to pamper the rich. This's why Leftists are angry

I saw the video.
Literally the only message they were giving is that military personnel have a duty to refuse to follow illegal orders.

If he thinks that that is treason, then that is a nearly explicit admission that he either has or plans to issue illegal orders.
Trump is calling for the six Democratic lawmakers who urged the military not to follow any illegal orders to be arrested, and he’s reposting replies saying they should be hanged and calling them terrorists.

a big runoff last night, in New Orleans:

Calvin Duncan was exonerated after spending *28 years* in prison; he tried to get his own case records from the New Orleans city clerk—but the office dragged its feet.

So Duncan ran to become city clerk himself, and yesterday ousted the incumbent.

They'll be blamed for everything and achieved nothing.
They caved in March so they could get a better deal now. They’re caving now so they can get a better deal in some indeterminate future. The better deal is always just beyond their reach, but continuing to cave will get them there. And if you don’t agree with that, you don’t understand Politics,
