Keep. Fucking. Fighting.
With the awful news from the last couple hours, this post from the political optimism subreddit helped to break through a bit of the despair fog. Repubs know this is political suicide, ICE's support is crumbling despite the budget increase, and there's a myriad of ways to fight back. Keep strong.

It's weird that Superman always seems to piss off Nazis.
The right-wing backlash against #Superman has happened before.

Here’s my @vanityfair.com report w/ the full history —starting with April 1940, when the official SS newspaper attacked the comic book hero & its creators.

Plus, that time Superman fought the KKK…

tiny teams selling games for $3 on itch are gonna make the raddest shit you've ever seen just to spite the genAI pushers, and you're gonna look at their backlogs and find even better stuff that was put out for free 8 years ago
"If you hate GenAI you're going to have to stop playing new games when they all start using it"

My brother in Christ, my backlog is literally thousands of games long. I have lifetimes worth of earlier titles to play, & I will gladly do that instead of boiling the oceans for a new CoD or whatever

NEW in @prospect.org: Much has been made of Elon Musk stepping back from DOGE.

But RDP research finds that at least 46 DOGE staffers have direct financial or professional ties to Musk and his companies—indicating that the billionaire will have lasting power over the group.

The sharpest piece of games industry analysis this year and it fits in a skeet
This didn't happen by random chance of the market or some neutral development of technology. The game industry, like many industries, figured out how to outsource all the risks and costs of production onto the aspirational while capturing their own cut as rent. Game devs are uber drivers now.
