While baristas are on strike, our job is simple: DON’T SHOP AT STARBUCKS.

They’re striking for fair pay and respect and we’re standing with them.

Show the billionaires our solidarity is stronger than their greed.

We got trick or treaters for the first time ever and honestly I've never been more thrilled. I want to make "random neighbor who hands out the good candy" my whole identity

a point I make over and over re: climate change is that there’s no point at which it’s time to throw up your hands and give up, because each tenth of a degree you can prevent is worth it

Please call your reps, friends. You don't have to make a lengthy speech. You can just say, "Hi, I'm a constituent living in [suburb name]. I'd like to ask [rep] to vote no on the spending bill. I don't want cuts to Medicaid and I don't want more funding for ICE."
I know your R reps are garbage and it feels pointless to call them.

But please call them today and tell them not to vote for Trump's murderous budget.

The call costs nothing. The fact that it MIGHT save lives is all that matters.

Find your US rep here: reps.fyi

hey I am posting this because I didn't know it, and so others might not either: but the BBB has NOT PASSED YET-- it's passed the senate & now it must pass the house.

It's time to call reps RIGHT NOW. Johnson is going to push the vote ASAP before backlash can form so the calls need to start NOW.

As futile as it may be, I just wrote to Senators Cornyn and Cruz to ask them to oppose the defunding of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which supports NPR, PBS, and their local affiliates. You can write to your senators here. 👇

The thing about this is that Walz is who the center-left should be trying to be! Common sense policies that make people’s lives better. People like that! Those of us farther to the left can have policy differences with guys like this, but at least we know he’s not actively doing harm!
Gov. Tim Walz is doubling down on trans rights — and criticizing members of his party who are retreating — at a time when the issue has become a political lightning rod nationally and back home in Minnesota.
