Lots of differences in education culture/system that people don’t realize.

Contrary to the US, with many small selective private universities like Harvard, all of Canada’s notable universities are large and public.

The University of Toronto has more undergrads than the entire Ivy League.

I think Wells Street should get rid of all parking and the parking becomes extremely wide bike lanes on both sides. Then the current bike lane can be a delivery robot lane, and then the remainder of the space you can walk on with a couple of golf cart shuttles operated by the CTA

He should have passed of old age, a forgotten footnote to a darkly stupid time, having been kept healthy by universal healthcare and all the exercise he got from living in a walkable city.

Most of our time in a car is waste. You can tell because we try to fill the time with music or podcasts or idle thoughts so it feels less like waste. We eliminate this waste by creating dense, walkable neighborhoods where transport is minimal and what remains is healthful and socially enriching.
