Can we do with more nuance? Sure. I've gone to length before describing how AI generated assets can end up in games without even the devs knowing about it, because that shit is like digital asbestos and it's poisoning asset libraries.

Not to be the fun police but I do hope people know that Arc Raiders does use generative AI for voice acting, and by supporting the game you're letting higher-ups know that this is an okay practice.

Absolutely maddening to be looking at the medical equivalent of "Firefighter caught starting fires" and instead of expecting a trial, I'm worried that calls for these people to lose their jobs will be viewed as "extreme" and "unpleasant" in the "debate" that follows.

There's nothing wrong with just not being very comfortable around depictions of sex but there's plenty wrong with carrying water for fascists trying to scrub sensuality and libido from all art on a legal, censorious level. I think this same argument applies to so-called "cancel culture," where established pundits decry students & activists (read: non-elites) who merely express our own views as being "censorious," while ignoring countless attempts by elites (politicians, administrations, media) to literally censor us
imo "violence aimed at elites from non-elites" is the category of violence most disfavored in elite discourse. and violence that flows from elites to non-elites is not conceived of as violence at all. and these ideas frame the entire elite conception of who charlie kirk was and what his murder means
I think there are a lot of answers that have already been floated around here, and I've even offered some myself, but I did want to sharpen the question a bit.
