I will always remember WoW's whole 'story event leading into the next expansion that is gone forever after the expansion launches' and 'we remade the world and redid quests, some of which are now sequels to quests that you can no longer do'

No one wants to do investigative journalism about which projects a game company is/is not using AI in, and the truth is, if a company is ok with it in one instance, they are in everything else. It rots the whole company. If their CEO even talks about it positively, throw the whole company out.
