Today, I came across a Mignon Model 4 typewriter (c. 1925) which has one of the all-time unhinged designs. Who needs keys when you’ve got a pointer?! Just aim it at a letter and press a button - it couldn’t be more intuitive! I linked a video because I can’t begin to capture its glory in words.

DHS subpoenaed a private citizen’s emails and later sent two agents to his address because he sent an email to a prosecutor there. If you’re curious what type of email gets you on DHS’s radar, a plea for mercy for a refugee seems to do the trick.

I saw that someone say that leftists in America don’t support any of the current Democratic Party contenders for president in 2028. The post was intended as a critique of the left, but it’s like yeah, I want my candidates to work for my vote. I think we should be critical of all of these candidates.

Send Help was such a blast! I almost avoided it because it’s listed as horror, and that’s not my thing, but I’m so glad I went. Sam Raimi in full gleeful manic mode, with pitch perfect casting. Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien are so perfect to their roles. Anyway, go see it! It’s super fun.

There were 3,000 immigration agents in Minneapolis at the height of Operation Metro Surge at an estimated taxpayer cost of $18M per WEEK for nearly 11 weeks (and counting). These agents arrested an estimated 3,000 people. That’s 1 agent per immigrant or > $100k per immigrant.

Minnesotans are everything conservative Texans only claim to be: they resist tyranny, won’t let their rights be trampled. Alex Pretti was everything cons claim: brave, used his 2A rights to protect himself and his community, put his life on the line to protect women.

Update: He made it out of surgery! There’s a long road to recovery, but he can already walk (assisted). I think we’re in for along first night home, but we’ll get there! Here he is in the car ride home higher than any dog has ever been before.

Saturday my dog seemed off. Standing stock still and glued to my side. He was lethargic and uncertain. By Sunday his front paws flopped uselessly. We were terrified, going to one vet then another to find he had a slipped disc. He’s 6 years old! He just underwent a 2.5 hr surgery. Pls send your love!
