I don’t think I’ve ever seen the left so unified on an internal Democratic Party issue. Like every single elected leader from Kathy Hochul, Gavin Newsom and Pete Buttigieg, to Bernie Sanders and AOC, to the rank-and-file left writ large. These senators are essentially pariahs.

Now that a democratic socialist has been elected we get to have the conversation all over again.

Fortunately, I was able to verify my son’s safety after receiving this not-suspicious text message by walking upstairs and asking him how he could lose his phone in his own room and why he called me dad.

Yesterday my dissertation advisor casually mentioned during the weekly doctoral support meeting that she doesn’t put anything in folders on her PC and just relies on search. This is insane to me. How could you find anything? I have like 20 years of files saved. Does anyone else do this?

The day care kids came to my house on Halloween! I didn’t get a pic of them (because they’re not my kids) but it was a magical moment. I dressed up in a white bunny suit and brought out my own actual bunny when I handed out the candy. Today, they dropped off this card. My heart is absolutely full.

Lol. Mamdani won by more than Cuomo and Sliwa’s vote totals combined. So even if Sliwa had dropped out and 100% of his votes went to Cuomo (which wouldn’t have happened, anyway) Cuomo still would have lost.

According to a Holocaust researcher, most LGBTQ+ people were reported by their own communities. Up to 1/3 were reported by friends and family. Most damningly, “I have not found one single instance of a straight person risking, helping, protecting a queer and trans person during this history”

I live in an SF neighborhood that doesn’t get much Halloween traffic. But every day the daycare sees me walking my dog and the kids love him. So the lady asked me if they could come visit tomorrow around 10:15 am. I’m so excited!! I can’t wait to see all the little costumes. House and dog for ref

I pick up one prescription from CVS and get 3 emails asking me to ‘Please tell us how we did.’ Have some self-respect, CVS, you filled a prescription. It was fine. This is unseemly.

Honest question: There was a confirmation hearing scheduled today for one of RFK’s grifters. If things are still happening in government that Trump wants, why can’t dems refuse to go along until they get concessions on reopening the govt? Trump mostly WANTS the govt shut down. It’s not hurting him.

Biscuit ran outside to bark at the neighbor’s dog who had the gall to be out of doors in the next yard over. I called him back and when I looked down, blood was all over the floor. The vet said he’d split his nail (yikes!). $1400 later he’s stoned out of his gourd in a soft cone showing blep.

Republicans have a problem with elevating past leaders to sainthood. Previous hero, Ronald Reagan, felt differently about tariffs than their current hero and they literally can’t reconcile the difference, so they cry foul or claim it’s AI.
