Some of the most dangerous and racist white people in this country have been the ones trying to tell you to abandon red states and turn against the most at risk in society all so they can maintain their power without doing anything to stop the actual systems of oppression they maintained and built.

I'm honestly scared shitless about everything happening in this country and I have no idea where it goes but I am heartened to see normal people standing up for each other and having each other's backs while our government and our party are allowing us to be overrun by fascism and siding with them

On the same day, the Senate voted against their Constitutional authority and SCOTUS ruled against theirs. Incredible how quickly people are willing to give up their own power in favor of ideology.
This War Powers vote wasn’t asking Congress if bombing Iran was a good move. And if any member of Congress thinks it’s called for in the future, they can vote to authorize force against Iran then.
This vote merely asserted Congress’s Constitutional role. Fetterman et. al. voted against having one.

I’m sharing a Palestinian account every day and today is Diyaa. Diyaa is 28 and before this he was a taxi driver and was engaged to be married to Israa. He has lost his taxi (which was his only source of income) and home and is now struggling to just get basic goods without being killed.

The irony is, the more you capitulate with fascism thinking it will protect you, the more it does to put you at risk. Capitulation just momentarily slows the destruction it will never arrest fascist power or its destructive goals.

One cool thing about this is five years ago they tried to unionize and lost by 40 votes. This time they won their union 1033-28.
