The r/grilledcheese community is in another heated debate over whether adding sliced jalapenos invalidates a grilled cheese and transforms it into a melt.

The existence of pepperjack cheese is causing schisms and fistfights to erupt.

They're running from it now. But the fact that Senate Republicans tried to give 10 of their colleagues at least $1 million each for nothing but a bogus press op captures the corruption of Trump II. In no other environment wld this even occur to the most corrupt politicians.

I want “kavanaugh stops” to be as much of our legal lexicon as “Miranda warning”. I want his horrific opinion to stick to him like skin.
Devastating piece on the human toll of Kavanaugh Stops.

Especially infuriating to know that rich white guys like Brett K can simply close their eyes to the human suffering their racist jurisprudence has unleashed.
For two months, the U.S. government has been racial profiling as masked federal agents hunted for immigrants throughout Chicago. They’ve repeatedly snatched up U.S. citizens while traumatizing communities. “I felt like a piece of trash.” Here is our story www.chicagotribune.com/2025/11/15/l...

I don't know if this is a libertarian issue, this is basic understanding of the purpose of education issue.

The goal of testing, and thus grading, should be determining how well a person understands the material that has been taught, not how quickly one can read, write, or think.

I wanted to share probably the most important sermon I’ve given and it’s while I’m being arrested. It’s torture pure and simple what happens at #Broadview. I’m ok, though I was thrown to the ground and choked with my pectoral cross. A review of the video shows I was peaceful - did I deserve this?

Critical to note that this is the Illinois State Police, not ICE or CBP.

The lesson we take away from the past 10 months cannot be “wow, ICE and CBP are uniquely bad.”

To the extent they are worse than regular police, it’s a matter of (slight) degree, nothing fundamental.

I’ll put it more simply: my first (and best) aerobatic flight instructor looked me in the eye before our first lesson and said: “remember, airplanes really like the ground. They really really like the ground.”
Aviation is inherently dangerous: a million pounds of metal and fuel magically flying at 500mph. The engineering and systems we have developed are just amazing and have given everyone the idea that it’s all cheap and safe. It ain’t. It’s expensive and it requires constant vigilance and organization.

Odd that the DoJ is opening an investigation into the Epstein files since they said in July that there was no client list and nothing to release.

My suspicion is that the plan is to use a new investigation into Epstein as a pretext for not being able to release the Epstein Files, as it is DOJ policy not to release the evidence in an ongoing investigation.
