There should be book clubs for babies. "I enjoyed the crinkliness of this one but I have to say the little mirror at the end was a bit predictable."

I would LOVE to meet one of these when I have both the geriatric dog and a baby in a pushchair with me. Because, believe me, on those days, I am not in the best of moods to start with.
Just as you thought food delivery companies couldn't inflict any more misery on society:

Instead of using lowly-paid gig economy contractors to deliver groceries, they're replacing humans with robots, who, in turn, force humans off the pavement into road traffic.

Forty-four hours and counting.
I wonder when the woman across the road who doesn't acknowledge my existence is going to come and pick up her three parcels.

Honestly, it is possible to think 'I work hard to earn money; I deserve that money' and *also* 'it would be good if we created a more equal society: I'll help'. Exhausting to see everything presented as a fight to the death between those two ideas, seemingly forever.

Fuxake. making risotto, was almost finished, sprinkled on parmesan and tightly closed lid to steam the last bit in residual heat. Forgot to turn sodding burner off, so now I have a chicken and pea rice pudding. 🤢

The government figuring this out slowly over the coming two years is going to be quite something to behold.
I think the government meant to cut net migration but have accidentally overshot the target by a lot. They haven’t realised this yet.

Our annual reminder, as we slide into the festive season, is that small businesses are run by humans & have feelings to match.

Life ring return crates are now at Tower & Westminster Pier giving crews a central place to return life rings recovered from the Thames so they can be safely reused.

If you find a life ring, please return it to a crate 💙

This really needs emphasizing. The entirety of the UK media ecosystem is utterly fixated on a 100% fabricated "crisis".
Net migration has fallen again to 204,000, the lowest level since 2021 and is forecast to continue falling over the coming years.

Not that you would know it from the endless coverage of Britain's supposed "immigration crisis"

I cannot get over how willing people are to have their event posts reposted on Instagram without ever returning the favour. Bigging up other people doesn't detract from you! It's a nice thing to do!
