The wood's in trouble. Covehithe, Suffolk. Coastal erosion rates at Covehithe are now over 3 metres per year due to climate change and sea level rise.

I've not really told you lot about books you can buy from me for a day or two.

(YOU CAN BUY ANY BOOK AT ALL FROM ME BTW. YOU JUST HAVE TO ASK!)

I've got a few tasty signed books you might like.

10pm. The perfect time to do this.

Here we go.

There is now a quite nice pink sunset, just as there was quite a nice pink dawn. It's the huge long grey wet bit in the middle that I could have done without.

The Firing Range, Dartmoor.

Large areas of northern Dartmoor are leased by the Army. Live fire ranges, squads of soldiers and marines trudging through the landscape cursing the weather, red flags marking range boundaries and grey metal observation posts fill the landscape.

ALSO, ALSO!! I was just told the maddest thing. In Hungary, a child takes the religion of their same-sex parent. So my cousins, (same dad, different mothers, two women, one man) have THREE separate religions.

Sorry for moaning. Perhaps you'd like to hear about my mouse? Or rather the cat's mouse that he brought in but now doesn't seem interested in catching.

That was a fun walk (need to keep my steps up) explaining to people cheerily asking me where Nora is.

What's so amazing about Jim Henson as a puppeteer is that he could literally be explaining that Kermit is made out of felt and ping pong balls and yet Kermit still feels alive the whole time he's doing it

I have some more wild #buyastrangerabook day action here!

Last week @emkaha.bsky.social sent me some dosh for a book someone had asked for.

But someone else had already bought it!

So I have £30 to spend, courtesy of Kate.

If there's a particular book you'd like, get in touch.

It is slightly irritating that the Guardian uncritically reports his claim that taxpayers are spending "an ever increasing proportion of our national income on out-of-work benefits” without pointing out that it is, in fact, false.
