Because it's cheaper - saving Finland about $14K per person per year in crime, addiction, mental health, and emergency housing services.

Pretty much how I made it through grad school as one of the few women in philosophy at that level, and I’ve used it many, many times since. Works with men 99% of the time.

I was born and raised in Texas, and it was a Blue state then. Now it’s a terrorist state. I do not know how to reconcile the cognitive dissonance I feel. I deeply believe that the people, my family and friends, are wonderful, but look who they continue to vote for and keep in power! I just can’t.

remember when Trump in the 2016 primary said "there has to be some sort of punishment for the woman" and the press covered it primarily as a gaffe and embarrassment for Trump because he didn't know the secret code that Republicans are supposed to use where they don't say this out loud.
