If some digital magazine was pumping out thousands of kiddie porn pix per hour in Canada, the Canadian HoC would be in an uproar and vote unanimously to have it shut down & prosecuted, yet the same HoC and whole of gov expects us to go to the X kiddie porn site to read their messages to us.

Carney's post on X about Maduro's kidnapping was all: Well we didn't like him anyway.
Carney and Poilievre prefer Trumper Machado who is an admirer of Thatcher and openly invited Trump to invade Venezuela.
Prior to winning the Nobel Peace Prize, Machado won the IDU Bush-Thatcher Award for Freedom.

Carney’s weak response to Trump’s attempt at regime change at the behest of oil corporations is predictable. When a government like Carney’s and Eby’s—which cares only about enriching fossil fuel executives—are faced with the hard choices, they’ll choose corporate power over working people. #bcpoli

It is baffling how, after Donald Trump openly and continually threatened to militarily invade and annex Canada, Canada's Liberals can tacitly condone Donald Trump's military invasion and takeover of a foreign country.

What the fuck about leopards and faces do these dumbshits not understand?

This is such a damn good thread and the only thing I think I can add is that it is really whiplash-inducing to see how many formerly centre-left climate-aligned folks have in the past few months leapt to centre-right tech-aligned. Not sure if it's despair, stewing in Musk's X-swamp, or just honesty
One thing 2025 made clear: Durable progress on climate in the US will require structural reform to our corrupted political systems. Otherwise, steps forward will always be vulnerable to the bloody clawbacks we saw this year. A political strategy that doesn't center system reform is not "pragmatic."
