Rarely does one see a grown man weeping publicly on a stage about the slaughter of farm animals. There are many species beyond that one ostrich farm that could use his advocacy - chickens, cows, pigs. But you have to start somewhere.

10 years ago delegations of joint Lib & Con MPs & senators held Canada-Israel solidarity rallies in Jerusalem while Israel's Operation Protective Edge rained down on Gaza.
Here they are leading a sing-a-long of Oh Canada.
Lots of news & publicity for these events in Israel and none here.

Only a week ago 95 yr old Princeton U Prof Richard Falk -special UN rapporteur on human rights in occupied Palestine - was detained by Canadian border agents for 4 hrs on his way to give a speech on intn'l law to a Palestinian advocacy group in Ottawa.
But a speaking tour by IDF is totally cool
