I have a certain pity for people who "hate to argue" but are so convinced of their correctness they comment anyway. What did you expect to happen? As for me, I love almost every online discussion I've had. I didn't even know we were arguing in half of them.

Snippets that omit context aren't actual quotes. Kirk never said gays should be stoned, he never said he didn't want to fly with a black pilot. Yet these are viral. There is a TON of objectionable stuff he actually SAID to damn him for, without my profession sullying itself with sloppiness.
When people supply ACTUAL QUOTES of what Kirk said, that's not "gross distortion".

Just like we can appreciate that someone had a cool idea for a story/image without seeing the final product via AI. There are tons of tumblr threads just discussing ideas for novels. Coming up with new ideas isnt easy but youre handing them off for free to AI who will never care about it like you do
