Hopefully more MPs on Starmer’s backbenches will be holding a position @tonyvaughanmp.bsky.social I don’t vote Labour but I expect more from them. If Starmer needs the Tories to push this through that should be the end of it. Still can’t believe how useless the PM is. The policy is stupid and racist

This is driving me insane, now. There's no way Labour is winning an election without improving public services and cost of living. If you think further cuts in public services to honour a daft election pledge is going to save either 'trust in politics politics' or Labour you need to get out more.

A lone figure runs towards it, from the trees. Closer in on them now - we see they are terrified. The race for the door of the cabin, desperately trying to enter. They rattle the door, frantically. It is locked. They look behind them. We see the darkened, black trees of the woods. In amongst the forest, we see the black silhouette of a figure. It walks closer. Closer still. I’ve been saying for a while that the Conservative Party’s problem is that they need to learn they can’t outflank Farage on the right. Looks like I was mistaken. The policy is an abomination and marks a shift to out and out racism and extremism. There is a moral vacuum at the top of the Party.
