I live in Kent, so have a little sympathy for me…
This is what happens when Reform wins power. They want the prestige but not the work. They are led by the absentee MP for Clacton, famous for not turning up for work in parliament and for his previous job as an MEP, so not really surprising.

When white people react with hostility to sharing space with Black and brown folk, they don’t care if those folk were born here, migrated legally, or are “illegal aliens.” They only see non-white faces who “don’t belong in their space.” This is why “ordinary concern” about migration is basic racism.

No more blatant example of Question Time’s bias than this.

24% of Disabled people avoid using public transport due to accessibility issues.

4.7 million Disabled people live in poverty.

The politicians who make the above stats a reality are choosing to attack the Motability Scheme, instead of the system that locks us out of society.

This is driving me insane, now. There's no way Labour is winning an election without improving public services and cost of living. If you think further cuts in public services to honour a daft election pledge is going to save either 'trust in politics politics' or Labour you need to get out more.

What Labour should be saying (and all parties, days ago)...
People who have come to the United Kingdom legally, played by the rules and made it their home do not need to “go home”. This is their home.

@eddavey.libdems.org.uk has written to Kemi Badenoch to give her the chance to reject these divisive calls from her frontbencher Katie Lam.

I’ve been saying for a while that the Conservative Party’s problem is that they need to learn they can’t outflank Farage on the right. Looks like I was mistaken. The policy is an abomination and marks a shift to out and out racism and extremism. There is a moral vacuum at the top of the Party.
The Conservative immigration proposals cannot be allowed to stand without a profound and widespread statement of moral condemnation inews.co.uk/opinion/tori...

Average Tory leadership hopeful: we should re-establish the Raj. Let's have a fifth Anglo-Asante war. I do not think that Romanians count as people on a legal or metaphysical level.

Labour response: after 14 years of Tory mismanagement only Labour can be trusted to strip Romanians of their souls.

A piece well worth reading from @thenerve.news
NEW: Police knew a Kremlin spy ring recruited former leader of Reform Wales at least 3 years ago.

So why was Nathan Gill not charged till Feb this year?

Pls read part 2 of @thenerve.news special investigation into Nathan Gill. And please share!

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

We flounced out of the EU on the say-so of politicians who lied to us. And what a total shitshow that’s turned out to be. The polar opposite of what they promised. Now the call to flounce out of the ECHR. By the same people. Telling the same lies. Has the country been kicked in the head by a horse?

What an admirably clear statement from the Jewish Leadership Council, especially when all of those involved must surely have been dealing with so many other urgent challenges in safety, security and grief + shock today before having this further divisive and distracting intervention to address too.
