the idea that lots of gamedevs are secretly using ai is booster bullshit

what on earth would I use genAI tools for? Coming up with ideas? Writing? It’s shit at those

making 3D models? Coding stuff? It’s shit at that too

oh but it’s faster maybe? Did I mention it’s shit at things?

seems important

Someone should make a laundry basket that you can flip and open from either end, so it can also work as a queue and not just a stack.

Alex Ovechkin becomes first player in NHL history to score 900 goals
Alex Ovechkin just made history against the St. Louis Blues, and in incredible fashion. Ovechkin beat Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington to score…

900 goals for Ovechkin!

This doesn't, strictly speaking, mean much seeing as Ovi already held the career NHL record, but I think it's a stirring testament to our love of round numbers that this feels like a bigger deal than 901 will. Go Caps!

We found a CD in our archives containing dozens of unused voice lines from MLB Slugfest 20-03 rejected by the MLB. Here's some of our favorites.

Thinking about "the Pokemon discourse" again and how the idea that "Pokemon makes a lot of money so it needs to be more AAA" remains an indescribably dumb idea.

Really impressed by the first two episodes of #Digimon Beatbreak. Strong on both style and substance so far, and I was surprised at how topical it is.

Kids, I’m not going to change the way I write just because a shitty AI uses the same punctuation I use, after it was trained on MY fucking writing.

After so many dubious claims that "video games cause violence," "video games are no substitute for therapeutic analog violence" is such a refreshingly original criticism. Bette Davis is now my second-favorite video game skeptic, behind only Roger Ebert.

I don't usually watch new anime as they come out, but I'm so glad I made an exception for CITY: The Animation. Super funny, and such an impeccable sense of design. It's kind of like absurdist Busytown for adults.
