Realistic trauma recovery involves us assuring ourselves, our nervous system, our "parts," our inner child: I believe you; I value you; & you're safe with me.

Over, & over, & over again. Remember that we are counter programming years, decades, of old, toxic messages.

Some of my favorite Long Covid support groups in case you or a friend/family member want to join to get insight into symptoms you might have.

In 2023 - over 400 million people around the world were suffering from long covid. That number has grown exponentially since then.

As all this disgusting Epstein shit starts surfacing more and more, I hope we don't lose sight of the fact that apparently every major media outlet knew everything and instead spent their time money and energy attacking the trans community.

Hugs! Take time and hug your loved ones. It’s good for your immune system and health.

*It’s even more important IMO if you are ND and we get this can be really hard. There are only a few people I am willing to hug.

People are often so proud of those who are resilient. But really we should step back and understand where resilience comes from. It’s born out of trauma and fighting to survive.

Maybe instead we should fix are systems so people don’t have to be resilient 100% of the time.

What an election night. Thank you to all those who got out to vote and express that fascism is not our America. Hope does wonders for us.

From Dr Aimie Apigian:

Most people who are the top high functioning people in the world are able to do that because they are able to protect and hide their chronic functional freeze well enough and it actually fuels their drive for achievement, for performance.

Tom Hanks explains to Stephen Colbert why he masks on the subway:

"I'm doing a play right now so I cannot get sick... I've had COVID enough in my life, I don't need to do that again. So I'm wearing this for health reasons."

Thank you Tom! Masks are still a key part of public health.

We know what to do. Right?

Let’s share our favorite tools for regulating our nervous systems.

- Somatic exercises
- Parts work
- Apollo Neuro
- Mind Body Spirit Release

What would you add?
One of our country's greatest war criminals just died, the president is arguing with himself about whether or not to let 40 million people starve, and there is an actual courtroom drama about a five dollar footlong.

How are any of us supposed to maintain emotional regulation.

Remember today you are allowed to change your mind, you are allowed to change your priorities, you are allowed to set new standards or boundaries.

Your safety & stability-- your recovery-- going forward are more important than ANY past decision that no longer fits or serves you.

While news of Avian Flu has stopped since March, research found that YES—as some of us have always suspected since Covid DID turn out to be airborne—H5N1 can be transmitted human to human and it’s airborne too. Is it any wonder why R F K muzzled media around H5N1? 😷 Mask up, next pandemic in 5…4…3…
😬 "believed to have been infected through human-to-human spread"...

Meanwhile our homicidally negligent public health and infection control leaders are still lying to the public about the need for proper protections against aerosol transmission, to cover up their last lethal "very big mistake".
Review: Human H5N1 avian flu cases can be asymptomatic, and the virus likely spreads among people

We know as you know that we still have at least 2 covid waves a year and covid is always spreading. The data proves it. Those who die prove it. And those who get long covid prove it.

Stay safe friends.
Dr Oz: “I think we all agree that Covid has passed”.

No we do not agree!

Anyone who thinks Covid has passed has no business in charge of public health.

It’s still here. It’s still killing and disabling.

Get your booster if you can. Wear a mask (ideally an N95) and clean the air!

I'm shaking almost too hard to type. I entered SLC airport and heard screams and cries for help. I could see people gathered around, watching. I sped over to discover this woman face down on the floor, four grown men pushing her down, while she cried "HELP ME" and pled for her child.

So today I went looking for some info about how long we know covid remains in the body.

I'm not sure we're able to even begin really solving things until we stop treating poverty and hunger as problems created by personal failures rather than systemic ones
SNAP isn't about "people who don't work." It's about people who don't get paid enough to live.

Of the 40 or so million people who rely on food stamps:

* Two-thirds are children, seniors, or disabled

* Most working-age adults who receive SNAP are employed—but in jobs that pay poverty wages
