If you could use a little brightness in your day, I recommend spending some time with sled dog MUPPY. I’m genuinely obsessed with her. She is an icon. She is a legend. Her legs are 4 inches long.
Meet Muppy, the World’s Smallest Sled Dog
Most sled dogs are huskies and pointers, but Muppy didn’t get the memo. With sheer determination and a whole lot of heart, this little dog is rewriting the rules of racing.

Even after decades and all life brings, this passage still reduces me to tears of longing for the loss of something I suppose we never relly had

RIP HST
Seems entirely reasonable that every now & then the energy of a whole generation comes to a head in a long fine flash, for reasons that nobody really understands at the time… When I left the Fillmore half-crazy & aimed the big 650 Lightning across the Bay Bridge at 100mph >>

Trying so hard to keep this mindset right now
Being a person with deadly, incurable cancer who is nonetheless still alive for an indefinite timeframe gives me an interesting metaphor that helps me deal with things like large-scale corruption in government or commerce.

Bear with me for a second while I try to explain.

If I was on the run I’d eat at Waffle House. No one makes eye contact there. You could stab another customer and no one would care. The cook’s on parole. The waiter didn’t see anything. The manager’s been missing for hours.

Ok I've made a starter pack of nature photographers who post all their own work and make it accessible with alt text. Thanks for the nudge to finally put one together.
