i would again like to remind everyone that NEGATING A FRAME REINFORCES IT

"he's not really targeting criminals" makes it an argument about criminality

"this is a fascist attack" states what is actually happening

START WITH WHAT IT IS
not what it isn't

[screaming at the top of my lungs, once again] the fundamental technology of humanity is care
We didn't survive and thrive as a species because we had warriors or hunters - pretty much every omnivore can manage that.

We did so because we developed Grandmothers, and domesticated Dogs.

Community is what defines us as a species, and every "self-reliant" libertarian shitweasel be damned.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

If he has to perform for "all people," I know someone who needs to make a wedding cake.
This is the logical and inevitable conclusion of the last decade of elite media "free speech" discourse.

He prefers to interact with bots who agree with him.
No shock. This app has turned my mentions, and others, into mostly hate. But there are a few people worth connecting with

CRAZY how it's easier these days to have a real discussion on X, or threads, than on here.

Or perhaps these media are not as credible and "across the political spectrum" as they would have people believe.
This is genuinely horrifying. Fact-free far-right agitprop given accolades by credible media across the political spectrum.

These are not trivial questions. They reveal the heart of the AI scam. Because the question they are asking is not, "how can we save lives", but "how can we use AI?"

We already know how to save lives. We just choose not to.

The real reason people are dying is moral rot.

Elise Stefanik is an absolutely hateful person who has done lasting harm to our country. I hope she never finds peace.
Churchill: Stefanik says she won’t run for governor — or Congress
“In a traditionally blue state like New York, you sort of have to have all the stars aligned politically,” Rep. Elise Stefanik said, citing a primary challenge and other concerns.

I left the Boston area in 2018 because I knew I could never afford to buy anything there. I could barely afford to rent there now.
We wonder why young people are leaving Massachusetts. The path to home ownership is damn near impossible.

My town is often considered one of the more "affordable" places in my area, but costs have absolutely skyrocketed in the past 5 years.

In 2018, I got in a tiff on Twitter with NPR's lead political reporter because I said their March Madness-style bracket to pick the year's top political story was heartless and cruel, because it made a game out of tragedy. He said it was fun.

Gambling on the news feels like the same terrible idea.

I don't care if a non-disabled person accesses a disability accommodation for the same reason I don't care if a child whose parents are rich gets free lunch at school. We don't need to means test being a kind person. I have better things to do with my time than be a cop over social services.

One of life’s persistent questions: WHY does the US insist on paying Ralph Lauren to design boring-ass aristocratic outfits for Team USA in the Olympics?? In a country full of embarrassments, this is a big one! I hate it.

If the Venezuelan sailors were enemy combatants, then the 2nd strike is a war crime.

If the Venezuelan sailors weren’t enemy combatants, then both strikes are criminal murder.

It’s that simple.

I treat boycotts as personal blood vendettas. This is about me physically harming a corporation, not about me telling any other human how to live their life.

I don’t have time to judge others while I’m digging two graves for me and Target.
As I always do with boycotts, I urge: be tough with corporations, gentle with individual buyers. For some people, Black Friday sales are the way they get their kids jackets that fit, shoes that hold up to the weather. Yelling at them doesn’t help the cause.

This. To say nothing of the destroyed careers and livelihoods, the abandoned research, and the probably irreparable trust defect for anyone who *might* have been contemplating a career in public service. Please, stop with the DOGE failure narratives.

Another name for this would be "pre-existing conditions," a way used to exclude disabled people from health care for decades in the US.

Understand, when you hear people talk about "rewarding the healthy" - these are policies that have a body count.
Please understand that "reward people for being healthy", in health insurance, also translates to "punish people for being disabled."

The people who are most vulnerable, most in need, will be asked to bear higher costs, in many cases, pricing them out of accessing health care, into early graves.
Markwayne Mullin: "Reward people for being healthy. Think about this. Healthcare is the only industry that you're not rewarded for taking care of your responsibility. If you think about homeowners insurance, if you're within 500 feet of a fire hydrant, your insurance goes down."

Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.
