idk how your day is going but today I got to meet two kittens that were rescued bc I told my friend that cats fit her lifestyle better than a dog and two are better than one. I present Bob (named by her youngest) and Palpatine (named by her oldest). Palpatine is extremely stupid so I love him more.

Yesterday a giant 12kg bag of peanuts arrived for the badgers. She thought of everything.
My mum has been feeding hoards of wild birds, badgers, foxes, hedgehogs, mice, weasels, squirrels, feral cats and other critters for over a decade. Now she has passed, we are going to have to slowly wean them off the gravy train so as not to cause a massive shock in the local ecosystem.

I don't deny that dogs can sometimes be quite lovely but what I will say is I don't trust their opinions. If a cat recommended me an album it had bought, I'd totally check it out. If a dog did the same, I'd promise to listen to the album, out of politeness, with no intention of actually doing so
